Addison Jackson fires shutout to lead Clarksville area top girls performers for spring sports season Week 6 (2025)

Here are the top girls performers in Clarksville area high school sports for the week of April 7-13.

SATURDAY

Softball

Baylee Backes, Fort Campbell: Went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple, an RBI, four runs and five stolen bases in a 13-12 win over Fort Knox.

Avaley Moore, Fort Campbell: Was 2-for-3 with a triple, three RBIs, one run and three stolen bases.

Hannah Stewart, Fort Campbell: Went 2-for-3 with an RBI and two stolen bases.

Track And Field

Melissa Sousa-Moore, Clarksville: Ran a 2:40.99 to win the 800-meter run at the Coach Johnson Memorial Classic in Fort Campbell.

Zyaziah Langley, Fort Campbell: Won the 400 and high jump at the Coach Johnson Memorial Classic. Ran a 1:05.52 in the 400 and jumped four feet, six inches in the high jump.

Elisee Nguimbi, Fort Campbell: Won the pole vault with a height of five feet.

Rosella Rajj, Fort Campbell: Won the triple jump with a distance of 30 feet, 6.25 inches, and was second in the high jump.

Marie Jones, Kenwood: Won the discus (104 feet, six inches) and shot put (32 feet, six inches) at the Coach Johnson Memorial.

Zephania Fennell, Kirkwood: Won the 100-meter hurdles at the Owensboro Invitational with a time of 16.37 seconds.

Courtney Weyant, Kirkwood: Swept her events with a time of 13.04 in the 100 and 26.42 in the 200.

Maliyah Warren, Rossview: Won the 100-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles at the Coach Johnson Memorial Classic with times of 17.10 and 49.56 seconds.

Cortn'ec Pope, West Creek: Won the 200-meter dash (27.24 seconds) and the long jump (16 feet, three inches) at the Coach Johnson Memorial Classic.

Ava Ahearn, Clarksville: Drove in three runs in a 15-0 win at Northwest.

Katelyn Fox, Clarksville: Went 2-for-3 with a double, a stolen base, an RBI and two runs.

Kalea Masigat, Clarksville: Gave up one hit over four innings, striking out two.

Ava Nolan, Clarksville: Went 2-for-2 with two runs and a stolen base.

Maggie Smith, Clarksville: Went 2-for-4 with a double, a stolen base, two RBIs and two runs.

Kenzie White, Clarksville: Went 2-for-3 with a home run, four RBIs, three runs and a stolen base.

Brooke Wright, Clarksville: Hit a two-run home run.

Anna Cheasty, Clarksville Christian: Pitched a complete game, striking out 12, and went 2-for-2 with two RBIs and two runs in a 12-5 win at Franklin Road Christian.

Reese Cocke, Clarksville Christian: Went 2-for-4 with a triple and three runs.

Jada James, Clarksville Christian: Went 2-for-4.

Mackenzie Olds, Clarksville Christian: Went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.

Charlese Teasley, Clarksville Christian: Went 2-for-5 with an RBI.

Brilee Anderson, Houston County: Gave up three hits in six innings in a 10-0 win over Harpeth. Struck out eight.

Peyton Brooks, Houston County: Hit a double, drove in a run and stole three bases.

Addie Horn, Houston County: Went 2-for-4 with a stolen base.

Ally Mitchell, Houston County: Drove in three runs.

Addison Arnold, Stewart County: Went 2-for-4 in a 9-4 win over Dresden.

Cara Bucciarelli, Stewart County: Went 2-for-3 in a 9-0 loss to Henry County. Drove in two runs against Dresden.

Faith Dacus, Stewart County: Went 3-for-4 with a stolen base against Dresden.

Addie Fitzhugh, Stewart County: Went 3-for-5 with two doubles and five RBIs against Dresden, and pitched a scoreless inning.

THURSDAY

Softball

Ma'kiya Walker, Kenwood: Went 2-for-2 with a stolen base in a 19-4 loss to Northwest.

Addison Jackson, Montgomery Central: Pitched a complete game shutout in a 3-0 win at Jo Byrns, giving up two hits and striking out six.

Tavasia Buckley and Chela Lassus, Northwest: Both hit triples and drove in three runs against Kenwood.

Bella Coon, Northwest: Scored four runs, stole two bases and pitched a complete game with nine strikeouts.

Ahmiah Yancy, Northwest: Went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs.

WEDNESDAY

Softball

Ava Ahearn, Clarksville: Went 2-for-4 and stole two bases in a 19-10 loss at Springfield.

Maggie Smith, Clarksville: Went 3-for-4 with a home run, four RBIs, three runs and a stolen base.

Brooke Wright, Clarksville: Went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBIs and two runs.

Maddie Ratcliff, Kirkwood: Pitched a complete game in a 4-2 win at Rossview. Struck out 12 and drove in the game-tying run in the sixth inning.

Evon Dowlen, Rossview: Was 2-for-4 with two RBIs against Kirkwood.

Madelyn Fillers, Rossview: Pitched a complete game against Kirkwood, giving up four hits, and went 2-for-4.

Kylee Gillette, Rossview: Went 2-for-3 with a double.

McKenzie Quick, Rossview: Went 2-for-4 with two doubles.

TUESDAY

Softball

Caroline Watts, Clarksville: Had two stolen bases, one RBI and scored two runs in an 8-4 win at Rossview.

Kenzie White, Clarksville: Went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and two RBIs.

Johanna Williams, Clarksville: Gave up two earned runs and six hits over five innings.

Kingsley Bell, Clarksville Academy: Went 3-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI in 12-2 loss at Friendship Christian.

Laney Bell, Clarksville Academy: Went 3-for-3 with a double and two runs.

KayLee Carnall, Kirkwood: Scored four runs, had one stolen base and reached base in all of her plate appearances in a 16-1 win over Northeast.

Kiara Conley, Kirkwood: Reached base four times and scored three runs.

Sophia Lucas, Kirkwood: Went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs.

Maddie Ratcliff, Kirkwood: Went 2-for-2 with two doubles and four RBIs. Pitched two shutout innings, allowing one hit and striking out two.

Madelyn Fillers, Rossview: Went 3-for-4 with a double, a stolen base and an RBI against Clarksville.
